Kyle Michael Yoder is an actor, writer, director, and teaching artist committed to telling stories that engage audiences in an examination of human psychology and encourage people to take social action. He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Lyra Theater, a company that produces and supports work by and for the next generation of artists in New York City. As an Ambassador for the Shakespeare Society, Kyle partners with a range of artists, theaters, and cultural institutions in New York City to develop and support the production, exploration, and appreciation of Shakespeare's works. He was the recipient of the 2015 Susan J. Smith Prize for Outstanding Contribution in the Arts at Yale, where he wrote his thesis in Cognitive Science on the cognition of acting and performance. He is proud to have worked and performed with the Pearl Theatre, the Gallery Players, the Shakespeare Society, the 24 Hour Company, the Play Group Theatre, the Indiana Repertory Theatre, and the Yale Dramatic Association. His sister, Megan, inspires him every day.
